October 10th, 2011 marked the 8th Annual Drives for Lives Golf Outing, which raised almost $50,000 for the Jill Just Wants 2 Help Fund at The University of Pennsylvania Health System.

It was an unusually beautiful day as the sun shone on the greens of Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill. Drives for Lives and Jill Just Wants 2 Help, along with Lucky Dog Saloon and Grille hosted a full day of golfing, cocktails, buffet, and silent auction to raise funds for families struggling with the misfortunes brought about by Leukemia/Myeloma. The event, sponsored by Pediatric Dental Associates, Physicians National Bank, and Special Smiles, gathered 127 golfers for the tournament, and special appearances by the Sixers dancers and team mascot, ‘Hip-Hop’.

Guests participated in the silent auction with items generously donated to the cause. Such items featured were VIP tickets to the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, a week vacation in Hawaii, a diamond ring donated by Bucci Jewelers, a plasma TV provided by World Wide Stereo, and a “Legends of Philly” baseball hat signed by 20 of the Phillies. The highlight of the auction saw two donors contribute $1,000 to each name a sandwich on the Lucky Dog menu.

JJW2H could not have been happier with the outcome of the event. Thank you to all that attended and sponsored this event! Jill would have been very proud to see such amazing support for a wonderful cause.

The 8th Annual Drives For Lives benefitting Jill Just Wants 2 Help will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011. The morning will feature free clinics at Brian Quinn's Golf Academy at Tee's Golf Center, followed by a team scramble, best ball tournament at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill. Cocktails, dinner and an awards program round out the day. Come out and support Jill Just Wants 2 Help as we award the tournament proceeds to a local family needing financial assistance while their child is receiving cancer treatment. Pediatric Dental Associates 2010 Annual Christmas Charity - This year, as in the past 6 years, the employees of Pediatric Dental Associates, located in Philadelphia, Fort Washington and Southampton, chose a charity to which they would make a contribution for the Holidays. This has been a great way for our employees to say thank you to the doctors for their generosity to us during the year. For the second year in a row that charity was one that is close to our hearts— Jill Just Wants 2 Help. A total of $1,300.00 was collected from employees in the five offices.

Many of our employees knew Jill and we hope that our contributions allow
other families to know that her spirit of generosity continues in us all.
